Car Insurance Dodge (Car Insurance). how do i fix my speedo clock?how do i fix my speedo clock? i have a focus and the speedo is to fast can some one please tell me how to fix it lol by few mph is normal How do you know it's too fast, the only way to check is to put it on a calibrated rolling road and get it checked, and the only place with one of these would be a garage Put bigger diameter tires on the car. Ya, slow your roll sweety, whats the rush, you are worth the wait...... Life goes too fast any way. Smell the flowers and pause for the cause. Ya dig? How do you know it's fast? The usual reason is if you've fitted non-standard wheels to it, which mucks up the calculation the speedo relies on to work out the speed. Whatever, it's not something you can fix yourself, it's an electronic box of tricks and if it's faulty the easiest and cheapest fix is a replacement. complicated thing-send it in... Dodge . Types of Car WaxWaxing a car is one of the best ways to make it look its best and preserve its finish. Wax protects paint against environmental factors, including harmful ultraviolet sunlight that can fade paint over time. Several different types of car wax are available from a variety of manufacturers, with each product having its own advantages. Wax Finish on a Classic Car"Red 49 Chevy In The Rain" is Copyrighted by Flickr user: Bob Jagendorf (Bob Jagendorf) under the Creative Commons Attribution license.Natural Wax Some of the highest priced (and best performing) types of car wax are made from natural ingredients. The most common among these is carnauba, which is a form of was that comes from a Brazilian plant known as the copernica cerifera. While many brands of car was use carnauba in mixtures that also contain petroleum products and other oils, some car owners prefer to use pure carnauba on their vehicles. Carnauba-based waxes often last between one and two months and provide excellent protection for auto paint. Synthetic Wax Many other forms of car wax are produced entirely from synthetic ingredients. These waxes are chemical compounds that are meant to serve the same purpose as natural wax as a lower cost. Synthetic wax products are sometimes referred to as paint sealants, as they contain little or no natural wax. Synthetic waxes are formulated to be easier to apply, and require less effort to rub on, then buff off when compared to natural wax. Synthetic was also lasts longer, in part because it can be chemically formulated to be more resistant to heat. Natural vs. Synthetic The debate between the benefits of natural and synthetic car waxes is an ongoing one in the automotive community. Carnauba was is generally agreed to produce the glossiest finish. However, car owners must reapply it on a regular basis or risk damage to the paint. When a single wax job must last an entire season, synthetic products are preferred. In some cases, car owners apply a base coat of synthetic wax, and then a layer of natural wax to provide the best of both worlds. Brands and Varieties For many years, Turtle Wax was the best known and most often used brand of car wax. Today Turtle Wax produces an extensive line of wax products, while many other brands (including DP, Wolfgang and Armorall) sell similar wax products. Besides both natural and synthetic wax options, modern car wax is also available as either a paste or a liquid. Liquid wax can be sprayed on during or after a car wash while paste was must be rubbed on and allowed to dry, when excess wax can be rubbed off. Other Products A variety of other products are often used in conjunction with, or in place of, actual car wax. Like wax, car polish is available both as a liquid and a paste. However, rather than producing a protective layer like wax does, polish actually removes a layer of dirt and debris while eroding the car's protective top coat. Rubbing compounds and other car care products can remove rust, reduce the appearance of scratches, and even smooth out a damaged paint surface. It is often best to use wax following any of these products as a way of replacing the protective layer lost to extensive cleaning. ResourcesTypes of Car Wax
Dodge . What Car Wax to UseUltra violet rays, acid rain, dust and other factors can damage a car's finish. Left untreated, this damage appears as a milky haze in the clear coat, making the paint appear flat and worn. Wax Types To main types of wax are available: natural and synthetic. Natural wax, or carnauba wax, is made from the Brazilian carnauba palm tree, and synthetic waxes are generally derived from silicone. Carnauba Pros Carnauba wax goes on thick and smooth. This provides a deep, glossy shine for a vehicle's paint. Carnauba Cons Natural wax lasts 30 to 60 days, depending on environmental factors such as UV exposure. Intense sunlight can melt it. Synthetic Pros Synthetic waxes, also known as paint sealant, protect a vehicle for much longer and under more extreme conditions than natural wax. It is easier to apply than natural wax. Synthetic Cons Silicone-based waxes do not create nearly the depth of shine that carnauba wax does. It is better suited for vehicles that are driven daily than for show cars. Combination Many professional detailers choose to apply a coat of quality synthetic wax to seal and protect the paint, then cover it with a thick coat of natural carnauba wax for shine. *find as many of the parts as possible as you read along. (If you don't know how to get the hood open, you can find instructions in Chapter 1.) Just touching the weird-looking gizmos under the hood helps you get past any doubts and fears you may have about getting more intimately involved with your vehicle. But then, isn't it always that way? 1. When you turn the key in your car's ignition switch to Start, you close a circuit that allows the current to pass from your battery to your starter via the starter solenoid switch. (See Figure 4-1.) Once the engine is running, fuel (gasoline) flows from the fuel tank at the rear of the car, through the fuel lines, to the fuel pump under the hood. (See Figure 4-2.) Chapter 6 explores the fuel system in detail, and Chapter 13 shows you how to keep it in tune. Figure 4-2: The fuel system. 4. The fuel pump pumps the gasoline through a fuel filter into the intake manifold. (In carbureted cars, the gasoline is pumped into the carburetor, but nearly everything else is similar in cars with fuel injection.) Dodge . Michigan law for auto lease deficiency?
Mercedes-Benz 560SEL. * 5. Each pound of fuel is mixed with 15 pounds of air to form a vaporized mixture, like a mist. Because fuel is much heavier than air, this mixture works out to something like 1 part of fuel to 9,000 parts of air, by volume. In other words, your engine really runs on air, with a little fuel to help it! 6. This fuel/air mixture passes into the cylinders in your engine. A cylinder, as shown in Figure 4-3, is a hollow pipe with one open end and one closed end. Inside each cylinder is a piston, which fits very snugly and moves up and down. The piston moves up, trapping the fuel/air mixture in the upper part of the cylinder and compressing it into a very small space. 7. A spark from a spark plug ignites the fuel/air mixture, causing an explosion. Dodge . Do you have to retake driving test if licence has lapsed?
